It’s time to officially announce the coming of the…

Burnt Creative Boutique & Studio!

The Burnt Creative Market has been so enthusiastically received that it will be opening as a permanent retail boutique this November, just in time for the holidays!

The boutique will offer…

-Unique regional handcrafts, including: housewares, clothing and accessories, children’s clothing and toys, bath and body products, jewelry, etc.

-International fair trade goods

-Carefully selected vintage goods for home and wardrobe

-A “create space” for crafty gatherings (Etsy “Street Team” anyone? I’ve already registered a Blacksburg Street Team on Etsy…just waiting to open our new meeting location!)

-A featured artist every 3 months accompanied by an opening reception

-Burnt Creative Studio operating out of the back room – I’ll be crafting away whenever I’m not chatting about all things handmade with a friendly face in the Boutique.

The Boutique & Studio space is currently scheduled to open Tuesday, October 30th.*

Hours are tentatively set as 10am-6pm, Tuesday-Saturday.*

*Of course, I am still early in the planning stages so these dates and times are subject to change.

I am thrilled at the prospect of making local artisanal handcrafts and unique vintage finds available to our community on a daily basis and becoming a part of the pulse of Downtown Blacksburg.

The street markets will continue to be scheduled in the Spring and Fall as long as the residents of Blacksburg continue to enjoy them! They are a fun way to spend an afternoon and a convenient way for the community to meet and chat with its talented artisans face-to-face.

Boutique Preview…

To see what kinds of handcrafts and vintage goods you can expect at the Burnt Creative Boutique in November, be sure to stop by either of our Fall markets downtown.

September 15th and October 20th.

For more details about our street markets, please see The Market page on the website.

Are you an artisan interested in representation by the Burnt Creative Boutique?

Artisans will need to submit an application to be considered. I am currently drafting the contract outlining standards for participation. All artisans will start out on a consignment basis with 60% going to the artisan and 40% going to Burnt Creative. That’s all I’ve got for now! Stay tuned for more information as it develops.

  1. I’m anxious to see your new place! How exciting for you and everyone else, too!

    • Thanks, Gerri! I’m really excited. I have a LOT of work to do in the next two months to get ready but I’m looking forward to it.
